Where it all Began

- A Quaint Town of Charm & Scottish Heritage

Coming from the Scottish Gaelic name for Edinburgh, Dunedin comes from the name Dun Eideann. Home to several beaches, the settlement of Dunedin was originally named Jonesboro in 1850.

The "Town of Dunedin" was offically incorporated in 1899, as a response to numerous complaints about pigs running rampant in the settlement.
